Stumbled across this video on the net, from a deck cadet aboard the GREENWICH MAERSK and the MAERSK ROSYTH. If only I’d documented my days as a cadet. This is a really good glimpse for those who may be interested in the maritime industry, life at sea, or simply want to reminisce. For non-maritime folks, a deck cadet is similar to an intern. The term deck indicates the internship is focused within the navigational and shipboard operations aspects of the ship, with the opposite being an engine cadet, which focuses on the engineering side.
