The 653 ft Panamanian flagged car carrier AMITY ACE (IMO 8020202) has run aground in the Brunswick River near Wilmington, North Carolina.  The ship reportedly lost power while transiting the river channel and immediately notified the Coast Guard.  No pollution or injuries have resulted from the grounding thus far.
