There have been a series of extremely strong storm systems that have moved across the Northern Pacific and Gulf of Alaska in the early half of December. Just a week earlier from this incident, the Coast Guard LORAN station in Attu recorded wind gusting to 178 MPH. To those crossing the Pacific out there, be careful and keep a weather eye!

Victory ships preparing to move once again

Residents who live along the shores of San Francisco Bay may soon see a ghostly sight as two WW-II era ships slowly slip past as they are towed to a shipyard in San Francisco. Two WW-II Victory Ships are preparing to move from the Suisun Bay National Defense Reserve Fleet to the San Francisco BAE shipyard to be prepared for scrapping.

Video – Cruise ships allide in Cozumel

An amazing video shot by a passenger on the Carnival Legend as it allides with the Royal Caribbean’s Enchantment of the Seas in Cozumel, Mexico.  It appears to have been caused by strong winds, which pushed the Carnival Legend onto the docked Enchantment of the Seas, damaging both vessels.  I wonder why they decided it [...]
